REACh
As a company committed to regulatory compliance, Sudarshan is preparing to comply with the REACh regulations as an importer into the EU.
REACh stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of Chemicals. This comprehensive regulatory framework came into force on the 1st of June 2007, and will be incorporated into our operational practice over the period until 2018.
At the moment we are in the process of evaluating our pigments and pigment dispersions in cooperation with our REACh consultants from Caleb Management Services.
We intend to (pre-) register all our products in our own name, Sudarshan Europe B.V., and will be in the position to provide REACh compliant products and Material Safety Data Sheets from 2010 onwards.
REACh regulations prescribe the need for detailed information on the exposures and downstream usage of our pigments for registration of our products. As such we may require information from our customers to ensure all our pigments are properly registered.
In addition, we recognize that information on the REACh registration of our products is critical to our customers’ assessment of the impact of REACh and are willing to share this vital information with our customers. We suggest a partnership approach to REACh, and in the near future we may contact our customers for the mutual exchange of information.
We understand our customers’ concerns with regards to REACh registration and are available for any further information.
