Pune, India, August 2026: Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited (SCIL) has launched Sudaperm Violet 3040C, a new addition to its Pigment Violet 23 range. The product is developed for water-based colorants used in coatings, textile and latex colorations, amongst other stationery applications.
It is a distinctly reddish dioxazine violet pigment, offering high tinting strength along with excellent light and weather fastness. Its low millbase viscosity at high pigment loadings supports good processability. It also offers strong shade purity and stable long-term viscosity during storage and application. Testing under CPTL 243 showed the pigment delivering tinting strength gains of up to 11% over Sudarshan’s existing violet range, while running at lower mill base viscosity.
” Across applications, formulators need pigments that deliver both strong color performance and easy processability. Sudaperm Violet 3040C brings the two together.” — Sambit Roy, Global Head of Marketing, Global Sales Head, Special Applications, Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited
The new pigment adds to Sudarshan’s growing portfolio of high-performance products, reinforcing the company’s position as a leading global pigment and color solutions provider. Manufactured at Sudarshan’s Roha plant, the product is available to customers worldwide and is safe, sustainable, and compliant with global regulatory standards.
